Sometimes I feel like saying thank you is just not enough, sooooo let’s do an Adrianne and start saying THANK YOU BIG STYLES AND SHOUT IT TO THE WORLD!!!
My journey through ‘Complex PTSD’ and ‘Adrenal Fatigue’ has been a long one and there have been quite a few in my life that have been key to helping with my recovery. Most of these people (I suspect) don’t even know how much their presence throughout has helped to influence and strengthen me or that they have unknowingly provided tools to help me succeed in my recovery!
The first beautiful person I would like to share with you and say a HUGE THANK YOU TO is one of my sister’s, Virginia Walker!
More About Virginia
My name is Virginia and I am a lover of all things crafty. From scrapbooking, painting, drawing and journaling to off the page and DIY projects…. I love to create unique one of a kind pieces that are food for the eyes.
I live in on the West Coast of New Zealand on a Dairy farm very near to a beach called Himitangi and on hot summer days you can often find me and my family there enjoying the salty smells and sounds of the ocean. We are contract milking and hoping to one day own our own farm.
My family consists of my husband, myself and my bubbly 5 year old daughter as well as a menagerie of animals, including…. 2 dogs, 2 cats, 3 chickens, 3 ringneck doves, 4 fish and a herd of 300 plus cows and calves…. simply put, my heart is full.
My passion is scrapbooking, mainly my daughter, and I think my lack of childhood photos has spurred me on to ensure my daughter has more than she will ever need!
How would I describe my style? Organised chaos most days… other days I feel quite restrained and manage to create something that is quite soft and elegant (I love those days).
Why do I create? I create because it is my relief, my craft room is my quiet retreat from this busy little world, and the satisfaction of creating something (with your own hands) that is so visually pleasing is immensely gratifying and somewhat addictive. I love to see the smiles on peoples faces when they receive a hand made gift, recipients often know too well, time is precious and the fact that I chose to spend my time creating something for them is always appreciated.
I am a paper lover, hoarder, connoisseur, paperologist, craft addict, memory keeper, story teller and appreciator… or to put it simply I am a SCRAPBOOKER….
HOW DID VIRGINIA HELP ME!
By watching her create for 15 + years online (unfortunately we have lived apart for far to many years) brought me the confidence to step out of the digital design world and start physically creating. Being creative or creating things is one of the key things that has played a huge part in my recovery.
I really don’t know how I could ever repay you for all you have given me this past year but please know that I am so very grateful and thankful to have you in my life xx
What creative things have I learnt about in this past year?
Digital Design, Webdesign, Scrapbooking, Card making, Writing, Photography, mix media and more!!!!! Creating is definitely a bug but a good one to catch!
